Farm Shop Lyne - About us

Our award winning family run Farm Shop is well known within the surrounding communities and is highly respected by customers and suppliers alike. We are warm and welcoming and along with a wide range of expected and unexpected produce, we also have a well stocked and tended plant centre and flowers by the talented and award winning Samantha Jane floristry team.

We have an excellent onsite butcher and a weekly visit from a fishmonger with fresh fish from Grimsby. We also stock animal feed and supplies. An onsite shed and cabin showroom has a number of options to browse if extra space in the garden is a consideration.  And there is the cosy Danish Inspired Hygge Cafe, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas for a pause in the day.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our Farm Shop.

Farm Shop Lyne - Recent Article

On the 19th March 2023, Surrey Live published the following review by Lauren Cole-Lomas:

The rustic farm shop in Surrey has become a firm favourite for fresh groceries and flowers.

The Farm Shop at Lyne first opened in 1982, and since then the business has gone from strength-to-strength, selling fresh groceries and plants. If you love home grown produce and are looking for somewhere to peruse garden goods and have a delicious brunch, The Farm Shop at Lyne is perfect for you.

According to the website, the owners, Richard and Carolyn, originally started selling fruit and veggies from a barrow on weekends. They eventually decided to set up their mini empire at Lyne.

With a vast range of fruits from traditional cox apples to exotic kumquats, this is my favourite place to buy cooking apples and raspberries to throw together a wholesome crumble to have after a roast dinner. There is also a butcher here, selling different cuts of meat. I like a topside of beef for a Sunday roast.

After selecting your groceries for dinner, why not brighten up the house for spring with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the florists at the farm shop? You can also head outside to look at the garden herbs and flowers for your summer garden inspiration.

My favourite part of the day out at The Farm Shop, is of course, the food and coffee. Hygge cafe is cosy with sofas to sink into, and best of all, it is dog friendly and serves great food and drink at affordable prices. The cafe opened in August 2021, and has proven a popular spot for a weekend brunch.

Hygge serves full English breakfasts from just £10 (Feb 2023), with veggie and vegan options available too. If sausage, egg and bacon isn’t your thing, you could try the smashed avocado on sourdough bread with poached eggs and smoked salmon, or the Danish omelette (yum!).

There is a range of drinks to choose from, you could opt for a traditional coffee, a frappuccino, a healthy smoothie, a range of teas, or even a cheeky glass of prosecco.
